Kerry is a freelance Drama Practitioner and Artist. This involves Acting work, teaching Physical Theatre, teaching Circus skills, leading Drama workshops, teaching Dance and performing with a Circus company. She works with a wide demographic of people; teaching children and adults, leading workshops with children and young people with learning difficulties, whilst working in a range of settings from schools (mainstream and SEND schools) to communities, to business events. Her Master’s degree in Drama and Theatre Education has taught her a lot of skills in Drama and Performing Arts and how to use these skills for Theatre in Education, Forum Theatre, Physical Theatre, teaching Performance Skills such as character development, space and movement, themes, plot, staging. She has been able to use these skills along with tools learnt in her Primary Teaching degree to effectively teach children and adults in all aspects of Performing Arts.

Kerry loves working in Drama and Performing Arts. She sees it not only as an enjoyable activity but believes Drama can encourage the acquisition of a number of useful skills; such as confidence, creativity, social skills and physical awareness; which are applicable to many avenues of life and work; not solely for those seeking a career in the Performing Arts.
