Performing Arts Classes:
- Please be aware that Breakout is not responsible for your child outside of class time. Please stay with your child until the class begins.
- Please arrive on time each week when dropping off and collecting your child.
- No jewellery or valuables are to be brought to class – any damage, loss or theft is not Breakout’s responsibility.
- Parents or guardians are not allowed to watch the classes.
- Parents or guardians are required to inform Breakout of any known medical conditions or existing injuries and update Breakout immediately if any of these details change.
- A First Aider will always be present and will administer First Aid should your child need it. In an emergency, 999 will be contacted for medical assessment/treatment. Should your child need escorting to hospital by ambulance, a member of our team will do so. If you are against this, you MUST inform us before signing your child up to the school.
- Suitable clothing and footwear must be worn for the classes; preferably all black with the Breakout t-shirt. Once a child has committed to the school, the school uniform must be adhered to.
- We reserve the right to exclude children whose behaviour is disruptive. Under no circumstances will any form of harassment or bullying, to any child or member of staff at the school, be tolerated.
- We may photograph or film Breakout students performing in shows or participating in classes. Any photos or videos we take/make will only ever be used: to advertise Breakout, to create products (show DVDs, show photos etc.) that parents/guardians can purchase, or in Breakout events/shows. If you are against this, please let us know BEFORE your child begins classes at the school.
- Family and friends are often allowed to take pictures or film the content in our shows/performances – as long as the material they film is only for personal use – but in certain instances we will ask parents not to film/photograph their child’s performance. This is so that we stay within the law in regards to the licences granted to us by licensing agencies and/or the owners of the music and other material we use.
- The principal will notify all parents via text or phone call if classes have to be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. adverse weather). No refunds can be offered to those who cannot attend any rescheduled classes.
- All school clothing and merchandise are to be paid for in full before ordering or collecting. No refunds will be given if you order incorrectly.
- Show tickets cannot be issued until payment is received. Tickets are always distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
- The deposit and class fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Refunds will only be issued if, due to unforeseen circumstances, the classes are cancelled and not rearranged. Refunds will not be given for absences or if a child leaves the school mid-term. Fees for a class a child has missed (or will miss) cannot be used for a future class instead.
- If a student’s fees are outstanding, that student will not be allowed to attend classes or participate in the show.
- Early Bird Discount: An Early Bird discount will be offered to parents/guardians signing up their child(ren) by the given deadline (usually the last day of the previous term). This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, including the Sibling Discount. This discount does not apply to our Private Tuition.
- Sibling Discount: A Sibling Discount will be offered to families signing up a second child to the school. The discount will be applied to the youngest child, with the oldest sibling paying full price. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, including the Early Bird Discount. This discount does not apply to our Private Tuition.
Private Tuition:
- Pupils are required to purchase and bring with them any teaching materials needed for the lessons. Exam fees are not included in the lesson price.
- If a pupil arrives late, the lesson-time missed will not be added on at the end.
- 48 hours notice is required for lesson cancellations – less than 48 hours will incur full costs.
- During term time, a catch-up lesson is required if any lesson is cancelled by the parent or student. A refund will not be issued in place of a catch up lesson during term time.
- Catch-up lessons need to be taken within 3 months of the cancelled lesson.
- Pupils are not obliged to have lessons in school holidays but if they would like to do so, they can. This is subject to Rachel or David being available to teach them.
- Lesson fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
- After the Two Week Trial, lesson fees are paid for on a monthly basis. Lessons fees are due on the last lesson of the month to pay for the next month. This can be paid via bank transfer, standing order or childcare vouchers.
- If lesson fees are not paid, the pupil’s time-slot will not be reserved until payment has been received. In some cases, this may result in the loss of the pupil’s preferred time-slot.
- In unforeseen circumstances, David and Rachel may cover each other’s lessons.
